What are the benefits of joining Gamma Phi Beta?
Academic Achievement
Scholastic achievement is one of the Sorority's greatest emphases. Gamma Phi Beta offers undergraduate members support in their studies through structured programming, resources and mentoring.
Leadership Development and Education
♦ Membership in Gamma Phi Beta provides members the opportunity to attain and exercise leadership skills that will prove beficial for a lifetime. Members of a new chapter have immediate opportunity leadership opportunities as the chapter develops into committees and an office structure.
♦ Our Regional Leadership Conferences (RLCs) and biennial Convention are open to all Gamma Phi Beta members. The events offer leadership training through workshops, as well as career networking with other women.
♦ The Personal and Chapter Enrichment (PACE) program provides educational programming on issues and challenges collegiate members face today. Programs range from resume writing and career planning to diet and healthy living.
♦ Crescent Values is the complete sister program for lifetime education, leadership and service. Program sessions call on members to re-focus, re-center and re-dedicate themselves to the Core Values of Gamma Phi Beta.
Philanthropic Involvement
Camping has been the international philanthropic focus of Gamma Phi Beta since 1929. Working together with Camp Fire USA and Girl Guides of Canada, we collaborate to provide camping experiences for girls that will enhance and enrich their lives. Through this endeavor, the Sorority's mission is to provide experiences and resources that build spiritual, mental and social resiliency in girls.
How do I express my interest in Gamma Phi Beta?
Representatives will be on campus starting at the end of August. Stop by and meet one of these women OR send us an email at gammaphibetamissouristate@gmail.com. We'll coordinate a time to meet and walk you through the details of joining our organization!
How do I get involved as a parent?
There will be plenty of opportunities to support your daughter throughout the recruitment process.
♦ Help celebrate major milestones like Bid Day, Initiation/Installation of the Chapter, Founders Day and any election to office
♦ Get to know more about the Sorority so you and your daughter can discuss opportunities where both of you can become involved
♦ Donate to our Foundation to support additional leadership opportunities for your daughter and other Gamma Phi Betas
♦ If you have not been initiated into an NPC organization, contact us about becoming an alumna initiate -- what a special way to share the bonds of sisterhood with your daughter!
