Our Founders were pioneering women who were brought together by their desire for friendship and sharing as they pursued academic achievement. Academic success remains important today as Gamma Phi Beta encourages each member to achieve her academic potential.
♦ Every collegiate chapter offers a scholarship program which may include study tables, tutoring and PACE program topics like time management, academic resources on campus, research using the Internet, test-taking strategies and memory improvement.
♦ The Gamma Phi Beta Foundation provides a number of fellowships and scholarships for deserving collegiate and alumnae members.
♦ International Council recognizes high-achieving chapters by waiving liability insurance premiums for chapters that maintain a 3.0 minimum GPA and rank above the All-Sorority average and the All-Women's average on campus.
♦ Chapter scholarship awards are presented at Conventions and Regional Leadership Conferences. The Convention awards recognizing scholastic achievement include the Mary A. Bingham award, the Chancellor E. O. Haven award, the award for Scholastic Excellence and the award for Most Improved Scholarship.
